Born in Sydney and raised in Terrigal, Jayde discovered her creativity early on. Leaving the Central Coast and returning back to Sydney at 15 to start her hairdressing apprenticeship.

Now eighteen years into her career, Jayde Turner-Ledwidge has emerged as one of Australia’s most passionate and dynamic hair artists. Her ability to collaborate with clients, artists and peers on their visions and needs leaves her in constant demand across all fields in the fashion, television, events, music and entertainment industries.

 

Working with internationally acclaimed models, photographers, stylists, artists and producers, Jayde’s extensive portfolio spans from Aria Award winning video clips, to publication covers and featured in Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Flair, Grazia, YEN, Gritty Pretty, BLACK, WHO, Oyster, Fashion Journal, CLEO, Sneaky, Pop Sugar, LAUD, Badlands, Beauticate and KAREN, along with multi-million dollar advertising campaigns, directing hair teams for shows at fashion week Australia, international music tours, television series including ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, ‘Bringing Sexy Back’, ‘X Factor’ ‘Australia's Next Top Model’, "Australian Idol and ‘The Voice Australia’.

 

Jayde is consistently booked to style hair for the red carpets for most events inlcuding the Aria’s, AACTA’s, Logies, Brownlow Medal, Melbourne Cup and the Astra’s. Styling celebrities locally and internationally including Dani Minogue, Samantha Jade, James Blunt, Zoe Foster Blake, Elle Ferguson, Guy and Jules Sebastian, Anna Heinrich, Tammy Hembrow, Jessica Gomes, Mimi Elashiry, Martha K, Kayla Itsines, Imogen Anthony, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Simone Holtznagel and Jessica Kahawaty, just to name a few.

Due to Jayde’s unique styling experience she is Represented by ‘The Future Mrs’ bridal agency and thrives on producing a modern and editorial take on the traditional ‘bridal’ concept, leaving her schedule booked years in advance 

 

Trained by the industry's most respected colourists, cutters and session stylists, Jayde’s knowledge and deep understanding of hair and how to care for it is highly respected. She is a ’master’ at Edwards & Co, where she bases herself as an original freelancer of the company. Here, Jayde focuses on her existing loyal clientele, with a referral only basis for new clients, generally for major colour transformations and new stylised cuts.

 

Living beachside with her boyfrirnf and pup in Coogee, Jayde is looking forward to new and current career projects, collaborations and experiences. She has also joined the non for profit charity ‘RAISE’ as one of their mentors for 2019 to hopefully help young people navigate life a little better.
